Isaac5 Whitney ([prob.] Joshua4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), probably son of Joshua4 and [?Joanna?] (-----) Whitney,[1] was born about 1766, Killingly, CT,[2] and died 23 Aug 1841, Granville, NY.[3]

He married about 1791, Phebe Gould,[4] daughter of Willard Gould.[5] She was born about 1770, NY,[6] and died 14 Apr 1846, Granville, NY.[7]

i. Roxana6 Whitney, b. 1792, Granville, NY; d. 29 Oct 1863, Fort Ann, NY; m. ca. 1818, Benjamin Baker, b. 21 Mar 1791, Easton, NY, d. 26 Jun 1870, Granville, NY.

iii. Isaac Whitney, b. 10 Sep 1795, Granville, NY; m. Lucilla Gould
iv. (daughter) Whitney, b. ca. 1797, Granville, NY. Said to be Phebe Whitney, who d. 6 Aug 1842.
v. (son) Whitney, b. ca. 1799, Granville, NY. Possibly the Joseph Whitney of Castile, Genesee Co., NY, in 1830.
v. (son) Whitney, b. ca. 1801, Granville, NY. Possibly Salmon Whitney of Medina Co., OH.[8]
vi. Rufus Whitney, b. ca. 18 Dec 1804, Granville, NY; m. Alvira -----.
vii. Willard Whitney, b. 1808, Granville, NY; m. NY, Lydia Ellsworth.
viii. David Whitney, b. 30 Jun 1812, Granville, NY; m. Mary Woodell.
