Dr. Lewis M.⁷ Whitney (Uriel⁶, Abner⁵, John⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of Uriel⁶ and Lydia (Whitmore) Whitney, was born 21 Sep 1806, ME, and died 18 May 1857, North Yarmouth, ME.

Marriage intentions were published 13 Nov 1836, Limington, ME, for him "Dr." "of Baldwin" and "Miss" Mary A. Small "of Limington".^[1] He married, 29 Nov 1836, York Co., ME, Mary Adams Small,^[2] daughter of David and Mary G. (Adams) Small. She was born 26 Dec 1822, Limington, ME, and died 8 Jun 1911.

He was a well known practicing physician. He resided North Yarmouth, ME.
