Minna E. "Minnie" Whitney (James Clarence, James, Jacob M., James), daughter of James Clarence and Laura I. (Pickering) Whitney, was born 21 Dec 1886, KS, and died 13 Feb 1981, Vancouver, WA.

She married, 26 May 1909, Benton Co., OR, Carl Richmond Jarrett, son of Eudorus and Cora A. (-----) Jarrett. He was born 1 Apr 1884, Bethany, MO, and died 5 Feb 1966, Vancouver, WA.

Obituary: "The Rev. Minna E. Jarrett was a retired pastor of the First Church of God in Vancouver, a former pastor of the Church of God in Blodgett, Stafford, LaGrande, and Enterprise, OR, and Middleton and Caldwell, Idaho."

Her husband, Carl Jarrett was a plastering contractor in Portland and Vancouver for 59 years.

Obituary of daughter, "Evelyn Lurene (Jarrett) Harriman: She belonged to the Symphonic Choir and a soloist for the Portland Chorale. Her living room was a music room with one corner for the grand piano and stacks of sheet music. She was commited to social justice and was a health educator with the TB Health Association. She met with businessmen, educators and others like herself who wanted every Oregonian to receive the benefits of Health care and literacy. She was the Community Agent for Portland Public Schools for fifteen years."
