Oliver C. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1820-1822, Broome or Cortland Co., NY, and died after 1880.

He married, Elizabeth (-----) Edwards. She was born about 1830-1832, Broome Co., NY, and died after 1880. She had married firstly, before 1856, ----- Edwards, of whom nothing is known.

In June 1863 he was a farmer, 43, subject to the draft in cortlang Co., NY.^[1]
