Rufus Greenleaf⁷ Whitney (Christopher Atwood⁶, Jacob⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Christopher Atwood⁶ and Adeline (Howard) Whitney, was born 17 Nov 1823, Phillips, ME,^[1] and died Jan 1910.

He married, before 1849, Sarah A. Gilman. She was born about 1825, Harmony, ME, and died after 1880.

He resided Cambridge, ME.
