From: "jetjock" <jetjock -at- prodigy.net> Subject: [WHITNEY-L] Guilford Whitney Date: Tue, 26 Oct 1999 21:30:22 -0700 Regarding the Guilford Whitney that Allan Green found in Marriage Intentions of Marlborough, VT, he not only is found in Pierce, #1844, but he removed to Strongsville, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio about 1817. The "History of Cuyahoga Co., Ohio" by Johnson gives a few pages of information. His children were Flavel, Jubal, Vina, Betsey, and Hollis who married Charlotte Wallace, the township's 1st marriage. Guilford was a son of Samuel Jr. and Phebe (Harrington) Whitney and he was born 2 Jan., 1769, Shrewsbury, VT. He died at Strongsville 20 Jan., 1831 and his wife then married a Mr. Finney of Oberlin, Ohio. Ben Whitney
