Hello my earliest Whitney ancestor is Joshua. 15 July 1635, Watertown, Ma. My grandparents were James Milo Whitney B1914 d1945. Married to Adeline Gaudette.
His father Walter James married to Viola Upton. John Milo and Ida E. Baker. His father Lorenzo married to Esther M. Moore. Lorenzos parents were warren and Diana r. Johnson. Warens parents were Samuel Whitney ( revolutiobnary War who saved George Washingtons Horse) and Tabitha Warren. Does anyone have listings of the CT cemetery Hale Collection for Ashford , Eastford and Killingly? All these ancestors were from the Eastford and Ashford Connecticut areas. The Whitneys in Eastford once owned a horse carriage factory I am unable to locate what happened to Ida. Walter was an only child. We have heard a divorce or death. Later John remarried a Nellie G. and lived in Manchester, CT. I don't have a death date on him either. Does anyone know about the Whitneys in this area?
