IT has been 188 years and my 4th great grandfather still does not have a Grave stone from the Vetrans.this is my 2020 project. he was buried in the Voter yard cemetery now called the Whitney cemetery in Avon Maine. his grave has only been marked with a flag each year. Now this is on private land but I am working on a stone to be put on his grave. Maine has a new law about graves on private land and being a family member I can escort a marker to his grave. Also Nehun Whitney born 11 october is noted to be a wander but in 1880 he was living in Phillips Maine with Fred Sweetser and Jennie and listed as a trapper age 76.
