Major Hachaliah6 Whitney (Jesse5, Jonathan4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jesse5 and Mary (Cheney) Whitney, was born 5 Apr 1762, Mendon, MA,[1] and died 14 Nov 1848, Milford, MA, aged 86 years 7 months 10 days, of typhus fever.[2]

He married firstly, 29 Jun 1786, Milford, MA, Abigail Nelson,[3] daughter of Gershom and Mercy (Puffer) Nelson. She was born 30 Jul 1765,[4] was baptized 8 Sep 1765, Milford, MA, and died 10 Dec 1838, Milford, MA, aged 73 years.[5]
