I am not a geneologist but have been working on my family tree for a few years now. My grandfather (Walter Whitney Brown) always told me that he was related to Eli Whitney of the cotton gin fame. I had a lot of luck tracing those roots with the internet site for the vital records of Upton, MA. I found that I am first cousin six times removed from Eli Whitney.

My Whitney Line

Edit My Whitney Line

I am not a genealogist but have been working on my family tree for a few years now. My grandfather (Walter Whitney Brown) always told me that he was related to Eli Whitney of the cotton gin fame. I had a lot of luck tracing those roots with the internet site for the vital records of Upton, MA. I found that I am first cousin six times removed from Eli Whitney.

This ancestry stuff is very addicting.
