Jonah6 Whitney (Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Isaiah5 and Persis (Randall) Whitney, was born 19 Jun 1758, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 1834, Harvard, MA.
He married firstly, 25 Sep 1783, Harvard, MA, Lois Hill,[2] daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Knight) Hill. She "Louis" was born 9 Mar 1763, Harvard, MA, and died 10 Jan 1794. An old Bible in possession of a daughter of Amos S. Whitney, at Minneapolis refers to her as Miss Lidia Whitney

Jonah Whitney was born in Harvard, MA, in 1758. He served in the Revolutionary war from Harvard, in 1780, in Capt. Williams' company and his age was then given as 21.
