John6 Whitney (Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Nathan5 and Abigail (Marstass) Whitney,[1] was born 6 Sep 1754, Spencer, MA,[2] and died after 1820.[3]

He married 2 Feb 1775, Brookfield, MA, Joanna Hamilton,[4] daughter of John and Joanna (Wolcott) Hamilton.[5] She was born 1 Mar 1757, Brookfield, MA,[6] and died after 1797.[7]

She was a Mayflower descendant in the following line:
