Jonas5 Whitney (Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Jonas4 and Dorcas (Wood) Whitney was born 2 Jul 1727 at Stow, MA[1] and died 23 Dec 1781 at Harvard, MA, at age 54[2], in 65th year; d. 23 Dec 1791 at Harvard, MA, at age 64.
Jonas married Zebudah Davis, daughter of John and Rebecka (Burt) Davis Jr., 13 Sep 1750 at Harvard, MA.
He was also known as Jonas Whitney Jr. He Listed under Whetney rather than Whitney. He Revolutionary soldier.
Zebudah Davis was born circa 1727; calculated from age at death. She was born on 11 Apr 1728 at Harvard, MA. She died on 21 Nov 1812 at Harvard, MA, at age 84; aged 85 years, widow, of old age. She This place of birth is reported as Harvard in an article in NEHGS Nexus, Vol. XIII, No.'s 3 & 4 (May - August 1996), p. 115.

I have not yet found another Whitney family anywhere nearby who had a child named Jonas born anywhere around the time appropriate to participate in this marriage in 1780.
