Norman⁸ Whitney (Samuel⁷, Samuel⁶, Joseph⁵, Timothy⁴, John³, John², John¹) born Chesterfield, New York , 16 May 1802; married at Keeseville, 3 Nov 1825, Mary Wilcox Forsyth; born 16 Mar 1804; died 16 Apr 1891. He was a contractor and builder. He died 9 Jul 1888; resided Keeseville, New York.

ii.	Henry J. Whitney, born 11 Feb 1828; married Julia Van Dusne.
iii.	Samuel Whitney, born 20 May 1831; unmarried; resided Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Is a civil engineer.
iv.	Daniel Whitney, born 18 Apr 1833; married Margaret Satchell.
v.	Mary Whitney, born 29 Mar 1835; died 25 Oct 1843.
vi.	Helen Whitney, born 13 Nov 1829; died 5 Aug 1830.
vii.	Harriett Whitney, born 11 Aug 1837; died 19 Sep 1855.
viii.	Emily S. Whitney, born 15 Nov 1839; unmarried; resided Keeseville, New York.
ix.	Charles Whitney, born 16 Jan 1844; married Rhoda Phelps.
x.	George R. Whitney, born 18 May 1846; died 30 Oct 1855.
xi.	Martha M. Whitney, born 23 Apr 1842; died Apr. l, 1843.
