Henry J.9 Whitney (Norman8, Samuel7, Samuel6, Joseph5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Norman8 and Mary Wilcox (Forsyth) Whitney, was born 11 Feb 1828, Keeseville, NY.

He married, 1849, Glens Falls, NY, Julia Van Dusen. She was born 1834, Warren Co., NY.

He is a lumber dealer and sash manufacturer; resided Moreau, NY, and Steven's Point, WI.

Notes

The marriage date probably was after 1850, since Henry is listed in the family of his parents in the census, and there is no sign of Julia there.

Apparently Julia died soon after the birth of her son, as she is not found in any census.

Henry was listed as single in 1880, perhaps erroneously, as he was more likely to be a widower.
