James Edward Whitney (William P., Elhannan William, Hiram C.), son of William P. and Elizabeth (Knight) Whitney, was born 24 Oct 1908, Paragould, Greene County, AR, and died 19 Aug 1973, AR.

He married 1927, Greene County, AR, Margaret M. Trantham. She was born 13 Aug 1908, and died 25 Mar 1984.

Children of James Edward and Margaret M. (Trantham) Whitney:
