He "Henry Abram Whitney" married firstly, 6 Jul 1865, Providence, RI, Mary Elizabeth Swan, daughter of Joseph B. and Sarah Jane (Webster) Swan. She was born 25 Jul 1844, North Andover, MA, and died 28 Feb 1874, North Andover, MA, aged 39 years 8 months 3 days, of cancer, residing in Pittsfield, NH.[2]
