Capt. Ephraim7 Whitney (Samuel6, Abner5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1) son of Samuel6 and Hannah (Thompson) Whitney; born in Falmouth, Maine, 22 Sep 1799; married in Corinth, 28 May 1826, Nancy Fisher Skinner; born 25 May 1806; died in California, Mar 10, 1886. About the year 1822 he bought land in East Corinth, Maine, where he lived until the fall of 1875, when he moved to Santa Cruz, California, where he died. He was a farmer; he died 6 Apr 1879; resided Corinth, Maine. and Santa Cruz, California.
