James Bradish⁸ Whitney (Simon⁷, Nathaniel Ruggles⁶, Simon⁵, Daniel⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Simon⁷ and Mary (Walker) Whitney, was born 22 Aug 1843, Framingham, MA,^[1] and died between 1900 and 1910.

He married, before 1879, Mary A. Leffler, daughter of Daniel and Harriet (Koppenhoffer) Leffler. She was born 1854, PA, and died between 1910 and 1920.

He resided Reading, PA.
