William Bartholomew7 Whitney (Samuel6, Joseph5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Mary (Whitney) Whitney; born Worcester, Massachusetts, 4 Oct 1778; married in Prince Edward County, Canada, 6 Jun 1805, Lydia Ann Lawrence; born in 1780; died Apr 1869.
He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1778; from 1782-1798 he resided in Gilsum, New Hampshire. During the latter year he went to Littleton, Massachusetts, to learn the trade of Morocco leather dressing.
