James Harvey⁸ Whitney (James Harvey⁷, Jonas⁶, Timothy⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of James Harvey⁷ and Lydia (Gates) Whitney, was born about 1823, NY, and died 27 Jan 1893, MO, aged 69 years. He was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.^[1]

He married firstly, before 1848, Margaret H. Price, daughter of Richard Palmer and Nancy (Houghton) Price. She was born about 1826, and died 26 Jun 1867, Homer, NY, aged 41 years. She was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.^[2]

He married secondly, 1869, Rapthelia Fuller. She was born about Apr 1829, NY, and died Dec 1901, Windsor, MO.
