Charles7 Whitney (Jonas6, Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Jonas6 and Elizabeth (Raymond) Whitney, was born 21 Mar 1797, Westminster, MA,[1] and died 12 Mar 1879, Monticello, MN.

He married, 8 May 1823, Westminster, MA, Sarah Howard,[2] daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Pollard) Howard. She was born 21 Aug 1798, and died 29 Feb 1888, Monticello, MN.

Charles Whitney, married Sally, dau. of Joseph and Hannah (Pollard) Howard, and lived on the ancestral farm in Westminster, til after the decease of his father, when he disposed of the property and spent a few years elsewhere in town. He finally removed to Monticello, MN, where himself and wife died. He was a cooper by trade. He resided Westminster, MA and Monticello, MN.

Heywood says the following:[3]

"Whitney, Charles7, bro. of the last, m. Sally (14), dau. of Joseph and Hannah (Pollard) Howard, and lived on the ancestral farm till after the decease of his f., when he disposed of the property and spent a few years elsewhere in town. He finally rem. to Monticello, Minn., where himself and w. d. at an unkn. date."

ii. Merrill Whitney, b. 24 Dec 1831, Westminster, MA;[5] d. 20 Jan 1863 [no record found in MA].
iii. Henry J. Whitney, b. 4 Mar 1834, Westminster, MA;[6] d. after 1880; resided Silver Creek, MN.
iv. Sarah Howard Whitney, b. 23 Jun 1836, Westminster, MA;[7] d. 18 Mar 1858, Monticello, MN; bur. Hillside Cemetery.
v. William Harrison Whitney, b. 16 Jan 1840, Westminster, MA;[8] m. Mary J. McCurday.
