Aaron6 Whitney (Levi5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Levi5 and Rebecca (Clark) Whitney, was born 13 Sep 1772, Townsend, MA, [1] and died 16 Feb 1845, or 16 Feb 1847, Calais, ME, aged 74-1/2 years.[2]
He married firstly, 16 Mar 1797, Phebe Dunklee. She was born 20 Dec 1778, and died 31 Jan 1800.
He "of Amherst" married secondly, 2 Feb 1801, Dunstable, MA, Olive Lund "of Dunstable, N.H."[3] She was born Aug 1779, and died Jan 1867.
He was a blacksmith by trade, and in 1812 was the postmaster at Amherst. His shop was burned in 1815, and in 1819 he moved to Calais. He was a prominent citizen in Amherst for some time. He resided Nashua, NH, and Amherst, MA, and Calais, ME.
