Eben Jennings7 Whitney (Thomas6, Peter5, Josiah4, Josiah3, [prob.] Benjamin2, John1), son of Thomas6 and Mary Taina (Jennings) Whitney, was born 6 Dec 1806, Barnstead, VT.

He married, 25 Nov 1830, Norwich or Hartford, VT, Sarah H. Boardman,[1] daughter of Dr. Nathaniel and Philomela (-----) Boardman. She was born 15 Jul 1806, and died 4 Dec 1876.

He was a farmer and mechanic; resided at West Hartford, VT, until 1837, when they removed to Brown, Knox County, OH, and later to Danube; resided Danube, OH. He was postmaster of West Hartford, VT, in 1835 and 1836.
