Joseph⁷ Whitney (Joseph⁶, Samuel⁵, Benjamin⁴, Thomas³, Thomas², John¹), son of Joseph⁶ and Sally (Collins) Whitney, was born 11 Jun 1796, Newburyport, MA,^[1] and died 11 Sep 1869, Boston, MA, aged 73 of softening of the brain.^[2]

He married, 23 Jul 1822, Boston, MA, Elizabeth Pratt,^[3] daughter of John and Mary (Tewksbury) Pratt. She was born 29 Aug 1800,^[4] Malden, MA, and died 5 Jan 1890, Boston, MA, aged 89 years 4 months 7 days, of chronic brochitis and influenza.^[5]

He resided Boston, MA.
