William Bartholomew7 Whitney (Samuel6, Joseph5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Mary (Whitney) Whitney, was born "Bartholomew" 18 Apr 1779, Worcester, MA,[1] or "Bartholomew" 4 Oct 1778, Gilsum, NH,[2] and died Apr 1849, Sophiasburg, ON, Canada.

He married 28 May 1805, Lynn, MA, Lydia Ann Lawrence,[3] daughter of Simon and Sybil (Robbins) Lawrence. She was born 21 Dec 1785, Littleton, MA, and died Apr 1869. She married secondly, Jacob Parliament.
