They then moved to Burlington, Vermont, and kept a tavern three years and then moved to Kingston's Mills, Upper Canada, and farmed for two years. Later he moved to Hallowell, U.C., and then after five years to Sophiasburg, U.C., where he died, and was buried in Sand Point cemetery. He died in Apr. 1849; resided Belleville, Ontario.
