He married, 9 Jun 1847, Birmingham, MI, Hannah Lapham Pratt, of Macedon, NY, daughter of Elijah and Beulah (Lapham) Pratt. She was born 8 Sep 1824, Erie Co., NY, and died 22 Nov 1899, Kent Co., MI. She was buried in Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, MI.[2]

He has been justice of the peace for over 20 years; resided Rockford, Michigan.
