Charles W.⁸ Whitney (Calvin⁷, Daniel⁶, James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Calvin⁷ and Roxana (Wheelock) Whitney, was born 25 Oct 1844, Ludlow, VT,^[1] and died after 1880.

He married, 14 Mar 1865, Ludlow, VT, Miranda E. Ellerson/Ellison ("Charanda" according to Pierce), daughter of Nahum and Lura (-----) Ellison.^[2] She was born 19 Dec 1847, and died 24 Jun 1889.

He is a farmer and carpenter; resided Sudbury, MA.
