Family:Whitney, Jonathan (1761-1813)

Jonathan⁶ Whitney (Nathan⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazar³, Thomas², John¹), son of Nathan⁵ and Abigail (Marstass) Whitney, was born 16 Jul 1761, Spencer, MA,^[1] and died 1 Jan 1813, Hartford, VT.

He married firstly, 3 Mar 1785, Halifax or Hartford, VT, Mary Woodard,^[2] daughter of Alpheus and Abigail (Harris) Woodward.

He married secondly, 9 or 19 Aug 1786, Hartford, VT, Lucy Woodard,^[3] daughter of Alpheus and Abigail (Harris) Woodward. She died after 1820.

vi.	Samuel Whitney, b. 22 Nov 1792, Hartford, VT.[11] He was probably the Samuel Whitney who m. 6 Jan 1822, Hartford, VT, Rizbah Dutton.[12]
vii.	David Whitney, b. 12 Dec 1794, Hartford, VT.[13] He was perhaps the David Whitney (1794-1867) of Pittsfield and Northfield, VT.
