Isaac Pennock8 Whitney (Gamaliel Taylor7, Josiah6, Hezekiah5, Hezekiah4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Gamaliel Taylor7 and Fanny (Preston) Whitney, was born 10 Jun 1840, Wolcott, VT, and died after 1880, and before 18 Nov 1881.
He married, 4 Sep 1867, Craftsbury, VT, Sarah Ann (Salisbury) Ellis, of Indiana, daughter of Chester and Julia (-----) Salisbury.[1] She was born about 1842, IN, and died after 1910.
He was a tinner, and resided North Craftsbury, VT, in 1874.
He enlisted 21 Sep 1861 as a bugler in Co. I, 1st Vermont Cavalry, and was mustered out on 18 Nov 1864. On 11 Sep 1872, Isaac P. Whitney applied for a pension based on his service in Co. I, 1st Vermont Cavalry. On 18 Nov 1881, widow Sarah A. Whitney applied for a pension based on his service in Co. I, 1st Vermont Cavalry.
