Ethan⁷ Whitney (Hachaliah⁶, Jesse⁵, Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Hachaliah⁶ and Abigail (Nelson) Whitney, was born 22 Apr 1788, Milford, MA,^[1] and died 22 Jul 1823, Boston, MA.^[2]

He married, 7 Jan 1810, Milford, MA, Betsy Mellen Green,^[3] daughter of Lemuel and Sukey (Torrey) Green. She was born Mendon, 17 Dec 1792, Mendon, MA, and died 23 Aug 1871, Bellingham, MA, aged 78 years, of inflammation of bowels.^[4] She married secondly, 9 Sep 1825, Milford, MA, Micah Bent.^[5]

He resided Milford, MA.
