Hiram⁷ Whitney (Daniel Thayer⁶, James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Daniel⁶ and Content (Stiles) Whitney, was born 1818, Plymouth, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, Proctorsville (in Cavendish), VT, or 17 Nov 1831, Reading, VT, Arvilla Herrick.^[1] She was born 1819, and died Mar 1846.

He married secondly, 1 Apr 1849, Plymouth, VT, Harriet P. Ellis.^[2] She was born about 1820, NH, and died between 1850 and 1860.

He was a farmer; resided Plymouth, VT.
