Joseph7 Whitney (Joseph6, Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Joseph6 and Sally (Collins) Whitney, was born 11 Jun 1796, Newburyport, MA,[1] and died 11 Sep 1869, Boston, MA, aged 73 years 3 months, of softening of the brain.[2]

He married, 23 Jul 1822, Boston, MA, Elizabeth Pratt,[3] daughter of John and Mary (Tewksbury) Pratt. She was born 29 Aug 1800,[4] Malden, MA, and died 5 Jan 1890, Boston, MA, aged 89 years 4 months 7 days, of chronic brochitis and influenza.[5]
