Edward Elbert9 Whitney (Otis Rawson8, Ebenezer7, Ebenezer6, Zachariah5, Zachariah4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Otis Rawson8 and Angeline M. (Hall) Whitney, was born 22 Aug 1865, Montague, MA,[1] and died after 1930.

Some records list him as Edward E. Whitney, others as Edward D. Whitney or Edward Delbert Whitney.

He married firstly, 2 or 4 Jul 1888, Montague, MA, Clara M. Fairman, both "of Montague". by Rev. Wm. R. Dugan. He was age 22, a carpenter, born in Montague, son of Otis R. and Angeline M. (-----) Whitney. She was age 19, at home, born in Greenfield, daughter of ----- and Clara (-----) Fairman.[2] She was born 18 Mar 1868, Deerfield, MA, daughter of H. Willard and Clara (Martin) Fairman; he was a cutler, born in Vernon, VT, and she was born in Montague, MA.[3]

He married secondly, before 1930, Marian E. -----. She died after 1930.

He resided Montague, MA.

In 1900, he is enumerated with his wife Clara and their children. In 1910, he is listed twice - once with his mother and again with his family. In 1930, he is listed with a wife Marian E.
