John Baker⁸ Whitney (Jackson⁷, Abraham⁶, Abner⁵, Jonas⁴, Eleazar³, Thomas², John¹), son of Jackson⁷ and Caroline Matilda (Baker) Whitney, was born 17 Jan 1835, Hartford, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 11 Feb 1869 or 11 Feb 1870, Charlestown, MA, Frances Elizabeth "Lizzie" Caldwell, daughter of George and Frances (-----) Caldwell.^[1] She was born 18 Mar 1850, Charlestown, MA, or Burlington, MA, and died after 1880.

He resided Charlestown and South Braintree, MA.
