Lorenzo⁸ Whitney (Joseph H.⁷, John Smith⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Joseph H.⁷ and Lucy (Green) Whitney, was born 4 May 1817, Shrewsbury, MA,^[1] and died 12 Apr 1895, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 77 years 11 months 15 days, of cerebral apolplexy.^[2] He was buried in Marlborough, MA.

Marriage intentions were published 18 Mar 1848, Grafton, MA, for him "of Westborough" and Sarah A. Hall.^[3] Marriage intentions were published 18 Mar 1848, Westborough, MA, for him and Sarah A. Hall "of Grafton".^[4] He married, 10 May 1848, Marlborough, MA, Sarah Ann Hall, daughter of Joseph and Sophia (Dalrymple) Hall. She was born 10 Aug 1826, Marlborough, MA, and died after 1900 (and apparently before 1910). Death record not found in MA VRs 1841-1915.

He is a farmer; resided Shrewsbury, MA; P. O. Westboro.
