Family:Whitney, Rollin W. (1848-1912)

Rollin W.⁹ Whitney (William Wilson⁸, Cyrus⁷, Lemuel⁶, Joshua⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of William Wilson⁸ and Matilda (Wolkes) Whitney, was born 30 Mar 1848, Springfield, VT, and died 18 Jun 1912, Springfield, VT, aged 64 years 2 months 19 days, of carcinoma of kidney.^[1]

He married, 26 Mar 1874, Springfield, VT, Ann E. Taylor, daughter of Spencer and Harriet (Arnold) Taylor.^[2] She was born 6 Oct 1844, Weathersfield, VT, and died after 1900.

He had little time for work outside that required by his farm and the support of his seven children, and was a charter member of the Springfield Grange, and a member of the Vermont Dairyman's Association, before which body he frequently reads a paper of interest to no one but members of the craft; resided Springfield, VT.
