Rollin W.9 Whitney (William Wilson8, Cyrus7, Lemuel6, Joshua5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of William Wilson8 and Matilda (Wolkes) Whitney, was born 30 Mar 1848, Springfield, VT, and died 18 Jun 1912, Springfield, VT, aged 64 years 2 months 19 days, of carcinoma of kidney.[1]
He married, 26 Mar 1874, Springfield, VT, Ann E. Taylor, daughter of Spencer and Harriet (Arnold) Taylor.[2] She was born 6 Oct 1844, Weathersfield, VT, and died after 1900.
He had little time for work outside that required by his farm and the support of his seven children, and was a charter member of the Springfield Grange, and a member of the Vermont Dairyman's Association, before which body he frequently reads a paper of interest to no one but members of the craft; resided Springfield, VT.
