Artemas Chushen8 Whitney (Newhall7, Benjamin6, Solomon5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Newhall7 and Elizabeth (Whitehead) Whitney, was born 2 Dec 1838, Durham, QC, and died after 1900.

He married, 13 Mar 1866, Wheelock or Lyndon, VT, Sarah E. Stark.[1] She was born 5 Jul 1839, and died after 1880, but before 1900.

He was born on a farm in Canada, but early moved to the states, locating at Wheelock, VT, where he was married. Later he moved to Saint Johnsbury Center, where he has since resided on his farm. During the war, from 1861 to 1865 he was one of the selectmen; resided Saint Johnsbury Center, VT.
