Amos⁷ Whitney ((prob.) Charles⁶, John⁵, (poss.) Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), probably son of Charles⁶ and Rachel (Pattee) Whitney, was born 17 Dec 1800, ME, and died 21 Jan 1879, aged 78 years 1 month 4 days. He is buried in Sayward Cemetery, Thorndike, ME.^[1]

He married, 9 Jan 1833, Knox, ME, Mary Lamson.^[2] She was born 15 Nov 1812, and died 1 Jul 1888, aged 75 years 7 months 16 days. She is buried in Sayward Cemetery, Thorndike, ME.^[3]
