Nathan R. Whitney (Joseph S., [prob.] David), son of Joseph S. and Cynthia E. (Hills) Whitney, was born 1824, Cortland Co., NY, and died 1893, Owego, NY.[1]
He married firstly say 1853, probably Tioga Co., NY, Sarah C. Dickson, parentage unknown. She was born 1833, Delaware Co., NY, and died 1855, Owego, NY.[2] They had no known children.
He married secondly 16 Nov 1863, Owego, NY, Emma Odessa Fritcher, daughter of George and Lucy (Loomis) Fritcher. She was born 1842, Athens, PA, and died 1895, Owego, NY.[3]
