January 2, 1871.  Funeral services were held at Alfalfa Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery.

William Whitney (Thomas J., Thomas J., Aaron, Joseph), son of Thomas J. and Martha (-----) Whitney, was born 3 Jan 1871, Salem, NE, and died 7 Dec 1935, Blaine Co., OK. He was buried in Alfalfa Cemetery, Alfalfa, OK.[1]

He married, Dorthula Paxton, daughter of H. B. and Mary (-----) Paxton. She was born 19 Nov 1888, Almon, MO, and died 7 Aug 1964, Carnegie, OK. She was buried in Alfalfa Cemetery, Alfalfa, OK.[2]

"Rites Held Tuesday For Alfalfa Farmer
