Charles Henry⁹ Whitney (George Henry⁸, Jesse⁷, Jacob⁶, Abraham⁵, Abraham⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of George Henry⁸ and Susan Glover (Stickney) Whitney, was born 22 Jun 1851, Nashua, NH,^[1] and died 10 Mar 1918, Nashua, NH, aged 66 years, of acute lobar pneumonia.^[2] He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 28 Oct 1875, Waldoboro, ME, for him "of Nashua, NH" and "Miss" Eliza J. Genthner "of Waldoboro".^[3] He "of Nashua, New Hampshire" married firstly, 28 Oct 1875, Waldoboro, ME, Eliza J. Genthner "of Waldoboro".^[4] She was born 20 Jun 1853, Waldoboro, ME,^[5] died Mar 1883, or 21 Feb 1883, Nashua, NH.^[6]

He married secondly, 20 Oct 1886, Nashua, NH, Anna F. Fisher,^[7] daughter of Francis H. and Eliza D. (Kendrick) Fisher. She was born 12 Feb 1850, and died 14 Apr 1896, Nashua, NH.

He, of Nashua, NH, married thirdly, 28 Sep 1898, Brockton, MA, Zepherina Plante, of Nashua, NH, daughter of Magloire and Mary (Pyrhusse/Perusse) Plante.^[8] She was born about 1878, Montreal, QC. Apparently they were divorced. She married secondly, 24 Jan 1905, Nashua, NH, Felix Sweeney, born about 1868, Canada, son of Pierre and Marie (Menard) Sweeney.^[9] She, of Wilton, NH, married thirdly, 24 Oct 1908, Manchester, NH, Napoleon Jennes Labarre, of Manchester, NH, born about 1870, Manchester, NH, son of Francois and Marie Louise (Girard) Labarre.^[10]

He married fourthly, 3 Apr 1902, Lowell, MA, Edna M. Latendre, daughter of John and Margaret (Harrington) Latendre.^[11] She was born about 1878, Nashua, NH.

He was educated in the public schools in Nashua, NH; learned the trade of an iron founder; was connected with the Nashua fire department; afterward was appointed chief engineer of the same. At the present time holds the position of chairman of the board of fire commissioners. He also holds the position of superintendent of machinery at the Jackson Manufacturing Company (cotton mills) in Nashua; resided Nashua, NH.
