He married 29 Dec 1856, Sweden, ME, Sarah Elizabeth Woodberry, daughter of Andrew and Abigail B. (Walker) Woodberry. She was born 9 Jun 1833, Sweden, ME, and died 15 Mar 1899, prob. Standish, ME.
John and Sarah are buried in the Hamlin Cemetery in Standish, ME.
