September, 1869, he went to New York and went in the employ of Schiltz, Southwick & County, leather merchants in the "Swamp," and continued with them until their business was absorbed by the United States Leather Company, when he went with the latter company as superintendent of their storage warehouse; resided Brooklyn, New York, 237 Quincy St.

Harry9 Whitney (George Frederick8, Samuel7, Lemuel6, Ephraim5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of George Frederick8 and Augusta P. (Eaton) Whitney, was born 5 Mar 1852, Woodstock, VT.

He married, 19 Jun 1889, Marlboro, NY, Jessie Corwin. She was born 31 May 1862.
