He married firstly, 31 Jan 1865, Big Flats, NY, Lucy Burdick. She was born about 1839, NY, and died 23 Jan 1891, San Bernardino Co., CA.
He married secondly, about 1892, Josephine A. -----. She was born Nov 1852, PA, and died after 1900.
They settled at Elmira, NY, and were living there in 1874. He enlisted at Big Flats, in 1862, in Company C, 5th Regiment, New York State Volunteer Artillery; was with the regiment in all of its engagements; and was mustered out with it, in 1865.
