He married secondly circa 1862, Union, NY, Angeline Murdock, daughter of Samuel and Charlotte (-----) Murdock. She was born 12 Feb 1826, Broome Co., NY, and died 4 Oct 1875, Union, NY.^[3]

He married thirdly 20 Jun 1877, Norwich, NY, Hattie E. Wilcox, daughter of Henry Cole and Elizabeth Jane (Brosworth) Wilcox. She was born 23 Jan 1844, NY, and died 29 Jan 1899, Union, NY.^[4]

Census records indicate William was a druggist, physician, and surgeon in Union, NY. He served as a surgeon during the Civil War.
