Timothy⁵ Whitney (Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Isaac⁴ and Hannah (Lombard) Whitney, was born 1 Aug 1771, Gorham, ME.^[1]

He married firstly, circa 1791, probably. Gorham, ME, Hannah -----.

He married secondly, 28 May or 29 Aug 1794, New Gloucester, ME, Martha Wells, daughter of Simeon and Martha (Burnham) Wells, by Isaac Parsons, Esq. She was born 27 Oct 1771, New Gloucester, ME, and died 25 Jul 1831, Chesterville, ME.

Timothy's wife is shown in the Chesterfield(?) VR's as Martha; H. D. McLellan, "History of Gorham, ME", says that in Gorham he married Hannah -----. The later record may be of a second wife. Also, there is in Kennebec Co., ME, a town called Chesterville. Chesterfield is in Cheshire Co., NH. Timothy⁵ and Hannah (-----) Whitney had no known children.

This Patty could easily be of the right age to be the one in this marriage.
iv.	Hannah Whitney, b. 1 Dec 1799, Freeport, ME.
v.	Parker Whitney, b. 14 Sep 1801, Freeport, ME; d. 30 Oct 1816, Chesterville, ME.
vi.	Rebeckah Whitney, b. 25 Mar 1804, Chesterville, ME; d. 1 Mar 1847, IL; m. 2 Mar 1826,Truman Pratt. She was also known as Rebecca Warner Whitney.
vii.	Polly Whitney, b. 30 Aug 1805, Chesterville, ME; m. 4 Sep 1831, Chesterville, ME, George Foster.
viii.	Esther Whitney, b. 27 Aug 1807, Chesterville, ME; m. 29 Aug 1828, Chesterville, ME, Joel S. Foote.
ix.	Sylva Whitney, b. 18 Mar 1811, Chesterville, ME; m. 23 Jul 1833, Chesterville, ME, Hosea Bump. She was also known as Syboia Whitney.
