Family:Whitney, Jonah (1772-1837)

Jonah⁶ Whitney (Daniel⁵, Daniel⁴, Jonathan³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Daniel⁵ and Katy (Stone) Whitney,^[1] was born 3 Sep 1772, Shrewsbury, MA,^[2] and died 1837.

He married, 1802, Sarah Wilder, of Wilmington, VT.^[3]

Both are buried in the Doran Cemetery, between Madrid and Potsdam, NY.

He came to St. Lawrence Co. in 1808, where his father had settled about 3 years previous; had seven children, of whom the fifth was Daniel.^[4]
